Asian LDPE prices up 22.5/mt as Chinese buyers return

Tokyo-Far East Asian low density polyethylene prices rose 22.5/mt to 1,100-1,11/mt CFR in late March as Chinese buyers finally returned to purchase cargoes to replenish their low inventories,traders said March 28.Offers for LDPE were heard at l,120/mt CFR China,while Chinese buyers countered at l,100/mt for April delivery.Chinese buyers had been reluctant to purchase LDPE,awaiting the start-up of new a LDPE plant by CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Co(CSPC)in Guangdong.
