Bar Association Lawyers Say Current Laws Give EPA Authority to Address Nanomaterials

American Bar Association lawyers have concluded that the Clean Air Act,Clean Water Act,and other core environmental statutes provide the Environmental Protection Agency with sufficient legal authority to deal with the risks and benefits of using nanotechnology.In a series of seven papers released July 26,attorneys with the ABA's Section of Environment,Energy,and Resources analyzed how different environmental statutes could be used to regulate nanomaterials.
