Asian phenol prices bust 2-year high on continued supply pressures

Singapore-Asia's continuing tight supply situation,especially around the Northeast Asian region,had caused phenol prices to overtake their two-year high of l,400/mt CFR China,market participants said January 30.Phenol offers were at l,500/mt CFR China on January 30,after 3,000-4,000mt of spot phenol for February delivery had traded at that level in the last week of January.Major Chinese traders said that prices had last been this high in December 2004.
