India's Reliance planning merger of six petchem companies with IPCL

India's Reliance Industries plans to merge its six small petrochemical companies with Indian Petrochemicals Corp after the necessary approvals,IPCL said in a statement on April 22."The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting to be held on April 25,2006,inter alia,will also consider a proposal for the amalgamation of the companies,namely Appollo Fibres,Central India Polyesters,India Polyfibers,Orissa Polyfibers,Recron Synthetics and Silvassa Industries/'IPCL said.
