Meeting Will Consider Plans to Increase Operating Pressures for Natural Gas Lines

A public meeting March 21 in Reston,Va.,will examine raising maximum operating pressures for natural gas transmission lines,the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration said Jan.6 (71 Fed.Reg.979)."PHMSA believes that certain pipelines in certain locations could be safely and reliably operated above the operating pressure established in current Federal pipeline safety regulation," the notice says.
