Acomputer database that manages chemical and biological inventories while aiding in regulatory and safety compliance is being developed at Temple University,the school announced Aug.24.The database will keep a record of biological substances and chemicals used in labs throughout the campus,screen the chemicals to determine whether they have explosive or toxic properties,and track the extent of safety training of individuals working in the laboratories,a statement from the university said.
