A line of high-speed, three-axis servo robots for small machines is new from Sterling Inc., New Berlin, Wis. Its Apex SC-W series for presses from 50 to 220 tons handles a max. payload of 6.6 lb. The PC-based controller has an 8.4-in. graphical color touchscreen and ability to store and retrieve up to 10,000 programs.
