Lab Compounder for Tiny Trials

Technical Process and Engineering Inc., Lehighton, Pa., has introduced the 1FRE lab compounding system in response to customer requests for smaller lot sizes of high-cost materials and additives. Consisting of a continuous mixer and discharge extruder, the line can run trial sizes as small as 1 to 2 lb. Unlike other lab compounders that use 480V three-phase power, the 1ERE can be plugged into a standard 240V outlet.
