The first standard models of gear pumps designed to take up to 10,000 psi pressure and temperatures to 600 F are available from PSI-Polymer Systems in Hickory,N.C.Previously PSI's standard pumps were designed for up to 5000 psi.The new HGP line,suitable for highly viscous materials,comes in 10 standard sizes for extruder sizes from 2.5 to 10 in.diam.and outputs from less than 80 Ib/hr to 12,500 Ib/hr.
