Anhui power generator and local coal miner in JV

Shenzhen-listed Anhui Wenergy Co. has teamed up with Guotou Xinji Energy Co. for a power generation joint venture in Bozhou City of eastern China's Anhui Province, according to a December 8 release from Anhui Wenergy. With an initial registered capital of Yuan 20 million ($2.9 million), the power generation JV - by the name of Guotou Xinji Banji Power Generation Co. - will build and operate two 600 MW hyper-critical coal-fired power units. The tie-up is intended to help Anhui Wenergy better control its power generation costs, the release noted.
