Spot Australian coking coal prices still lacked a clear direction March 15, as most participants were still trying to piece together the likely effects of the recent quarterly settlements and the Japanese earthquake. Premium HCC has been rangebound between $320-330/ mt for almost five weeks and showed little sign of moving strongly either way March 15. Premium Low Vol and HCC 64 Mid Vol both rose by $1/mt to $328/mt FOB and $305/ mt.
