Diversified international mining major Rio Tinto continues to push forward with its takeover effort for Mozambique-focused coking coal developer Riverside Mining, raising its relevant interest to 35.89% from 34.94%, March 23. In a release to the Australian Securities Exchange, the miner said it now owned a total of 84,954,766 shares, including 46,579,103 ordinary shares in Riversdale – up from the previous 45,931,346 ordinary shares.
