The US acrylonitrile price fell this week as sellers pulled back their offers. One producer, though, said margins remained strong despite the falling offers. “The price is coming off, but margins are not,” the source said. “That indicates to me that supplies are still tight.” The US acrylonitrile price is falling at a slower rate than feedstocks, the source said, enabling producers to maintain margins. One source said offers had fallen to near $2,300/mt, down from as high as $2,470 in recent weeks.
