Domestic LLDPE prices fell 4 cents/lb following an announcement by Dow that they would cut all PE resin contracts by that amount, except for LDPE on which they had only announced a 2 cents/lb decrease. Domestic contracts, however, are regularly not concluded until the end of the month. Several sources expected a total decrease of 6 cents/lb or up to 8 cents/lb. The export market was talked in a wide range as is typical in a falling market where there are also plenty of traders short selling.
