Centennial moves to export parity pricing for domestic contracts

Centennial Coal in Australia is close to finalizing a new thermal coal supply deal with one of its New South Wales power generation customers at prices which "better reflect" those the company is achieving for its export coal sales, said Centennial in a statement, September 17. Centennial has accepted a takeover offer from Thailand- based coal company Banpu that values Centennial at A$2.5 billion ($2.3 billion) and which closes to acceptances on September 27.
