Kepco Philippine unit term contract tender to attract Indonesian coals

Indonesian coals were expected to be offered in a ten- der of Kepco SPC Power Corp. (KSPC), industry sources said October 6. The tender for a 10-year contract involving 320,000 mt of coal for delivery starting in 2011 closed October 6. KSPC, a joint venture between a Philippines company and Korea Electric Power (Kepco) of South Korea, is construct- ing a 2 X 100 MW power plant in Cebu island in central Philippines.
