Anglo and Wesfarmers coking coal mines affected by heavy rainfall

Anglo Coal and Wesfarmers have admitted that unsea- sonal heavy rainfall has affected September production at their coking coal mines in the central Bowen Basin coalfield in Queensland, Australia. A record average of 73 millimeters of rainwater fell over Queensland during September, making last month the wettest September for 100 years, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology said. Queensland's wet season traditionally starts in November and runs to March each year.
