China’s buying appetite for spot PVC materials continued to slow down this week, as end-users and traders attempted to reduce their inventories before the weeklong Lunar New Year holiday. This year’s Lunar New Year holiday starts on February 13 and officially ends on February 19, however, most market participants in China are expected to come back to the market on February 22. During the period, most PVC downstream factories will be shut down, which will slash PVC demand significantly.
