The US PX market was quiet this week as it fluctuated up and down with raw material mixed xylenes as well as Far East Asia prices. No firm bids and offers were reported, and trades had not concluded. By week’s end, with Europe at roughly $1,040/mt, a source notionally pegged the East Coast market at $1,075/mt FOB USG. However this was not seen as a firm number. PX ended the week at $1,002.50/mt FOB USG, $10 above last week’s assessments.
