NEA: The Northeast Asian ethylene market kept its upward momentum despite weakening crude oil values, fueled by tight spot supplies and bullish derivatives — notably polyethylene and monoethylene glycol. The price increase in the Asian ethylene market stalled in the middle of the week as some derivatives markets showed a slight slowdown amid the tightening credit policy in China. But the bullish sentiment returned quickly Friday, with prices ending the week with more than a $100/mt week-on-week increase.
