The spot export market fell but new arbitrage opportunities were still closed. Participants noted that in order for an export cargo to work one would need a price under 30 cents/lb FOB USG but producers did not see value in offering so low as domestic contracts and smaller volume spot truck and rail prices were much higher than notional export ideas.
