Export prices were still talked at 53 cents/lb FAS Houston with demand remaining strong at that level from China. Some traders said they were unable to find material this week to take advantage of the firm China demand and would have to wait until January for new offers. Exporters believed that as long as Asia naphtha and ethylene were strong, US LLDPE would have export support and prices would go up in the New Year. Producers needed export prices to go up to support their domestic price moves.
