PET bottle chip prices were assessed $42.50/mt higher week on week in Asia Wednesday, led mainly by sharp increases in raw material costs. Following sustained rallies in the prices of purified terephthalic acid and monoethylene glycol this week, thanks largely to the fiber and yarns sectors, PET producers have revised their offers several times to keep up with costs to around $1,120-1,150/mt FOB.
