Low density polyethylene on a CFR Far East Asia basis continued to rally on the back of tight supply to end at $1,365/mt Wednesday. This was $30/mt or 2.2% higher than last week. In Southeast Asia, it was assessed at $1,385/mt CFR basis, also $30/mt higher week on week. A Saudi Arabian producer was offering cargoes at $1,370/mt CFR China this week, but there continued to be few offers in the market this week. Malaysian and Qatari LDPE players have offered few cargoes to the market for September shipment. In the Chinese domestic market, Sinopec rolled over its listed ex-works price of Yuan 11,400/mt ($1,675/mt) from last week, while traders were offering at Yuan 11,000-11,100/mt ($1,296-1,308/mt on import parity).
