US polystyrene for export were talked higher this week as feedstocks were expected to climb. US styrene was being offered above 50 cents/lb this week as tight supplies in September and October reduced producer motivation to shrink margins. Last week, spot styrene traded at 49 cents/lb. Since then, though, benzene climbed back above 300 cents/lb. Ethylene, after bottoming out near 31 cents/lb this week, rebounded during the last two trading days to near 33 cents/lb.
