Northwest European polyvinyl chloride contract price negotiations were continuing this week, with producers announcing slight increases of between Eur20-30/mt ($28-42/mt). Buyers had reported settling contracts at a rollover or slight increase of Eur10/mt last week. However, producers said negotiations had evolved over the second half of the month as demand and the general outlook for the European market began to improve. “There have been two sides to negotiations for January,” a producer commented.
