Polypropylene imports have been coming in trickles into Europe, with very few players interested in taking advantage of arbitrage opportunities brought about by the price surge in the region. Uncertainty over how the October market will develop, combined with the volatile energy and currency markets, have kept interest low for imports. Spot product was heard changing hands at Eur1,330-1,380/mt ($1,715-1,779/mt) FD NWE this week, though with some traders noting that buying appetite was thinning at the upper end of the range.
