Prices for US ABS continued to be characterized as stable by the market despite sliding feedstocks. One source said August ABS pricing was flat, with the delivered price in the mid-130’s cents/lb. The source added that he expected a slowdown in the future, roughly around October. In the meantime, feedstock acrylonitrile was assessed lower week on week as the typically short ACN market was described as balanced-to-long this week. The delivered price for ACN was heard Wednesday at roughly 1- 2 cents above the export prices, which was assessed $127/mt lower week on week to $2,225-$2,240/mt FOB USG.
