Following the settlement of the June contract price lastweek, the NWE butadiene market was relatively muted thisweek, with the lack of spot product limiting trade activity. Thisleft the market unchanged in terms of price with sources stillpegging spot values at around Eur3,000/mt. However, with USprices seen at between 190-195 cents per pound ($4,188-4,298/mt) and the euro/dollar rate at 1.457 Friday, prices werereduced to remain in line with global values. Sources said thatdemand was still strong for spot product, but with almost nospare molecules in Europe, no trade was done.
