High density blow molding export prices rebounded to 46-47 cents/lb in railcars delivered to Houston on strong demand from Asia. The Latin markets were mainly on holiday already but China continued to be an outlet for US blow molding. The export price was 2 cents/lb under the end of November price which showed how weak domestic demand had become at year’s end. HD film was flat this week with the price still talked at 51.5 cent/lb FAS Houston, also lower than November’s export price. With exports down in December, there was little support for producers’ 4 cents/lb domestic price initiative.
