Asia butadiene prices surged up to $120/mt this week amid a slew of deals concluded at $1,900/mt or higher maid a flurry of spot activity towards the end of the week. The FOB Korea marker was assessed at $1,960/mt, up $20/mt week on week, while the CFR China marker rose $40/mt over the same period to $1,990/mt. The sharpest spike was in Southeast Asia, where CFR prices were assessed up $120/mt week on week at $1,850/mt.
