High-Density Polyethylene Africa

African LLDPE in North Africa extended its fall this week. LLDPE prices were assessed at $1,440-1,445/mt CFR this week, down $5/mt on the week, in line with HDPE prices. LLDPE availability in North Africa increased as Asia's consumption slowed. Due to the Middle East's swing plants having an increased allocation to LLDPE, HDPE availability was thin and supported its price at Eur1,440-1,445/mt. LDPE also headed south, assessed at $1,630-1,635/mt, down $10/mt on the week.
