The Asian low density polyethylene market was flat this week as buyers remained cautious and offers were lacking in the market this week. LDPE was assessed flat from last week at $1,699/mt CFR Far East Asia and $1,725/mt CFR South East Asia. Interest for LDPE remained fairly weak this week, according to several market participants, as buyers took a wait-and-see approach. Chinese traders offered ex- warehouse cargoes at $1,720/mt with Letter of Credit 90 days, but could not raise any buying interest.
