The NWE butadiene market continued to strengthen ontightening supply caused by cracker rate cutbacks this week,although a lack of trade made for a “complex” market,according to sources. Demand for spot product was seen in themarket but no trade was heard done with supply restricted.One producer noted: “There are some interested parties forspot, but it’s not that easy to get a barge of 1 or 2kt.”
