Asian styrene monomer prices tumbled Friday on bearishdemand in China after having fluctuated for most of theweek. SM prices on an FOB Korea basis tumbled $24.50/mtfrom Thursday to $1,141.50/mt Friday, while CFR Chinafell $23.50/mt to $1,420/mt over the same period. Week onweek, SM prices on an FOB Korea basis fell $24/mt and ona CFR China basis, $21/mt. But some buyers areanticipating that SM had even more room to go down asbenzene and ethylene feedstock costs are falling even fasterthan SM. SM prices moved both up and down at times thisweek as buyers were not sure where the market washeading to due to volatility in the energy complex.
