Asian high density polyethylene prices edged up this week as market sentiment improved slightly on gains in crude oil and feedstock ethylene prices. HDPE-film was assessed at $1,315/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, up $10/mt week on week. Elsewhere, it was assessed at $1,320/mt CFR Southeast Asia, up $9/mt week on week, and at $1,360/mt CFR South Asia, up $10/mt over the same period. Key feedstock ethylene was assessed at $1,220/mt CFR Northeast Asia Wednesday, up $16/mt from a week earlier.
