Domestic butadiene spot prices were coming under pressure this week, as sources began to notice increasing length creeping into the NWE market. The length was a result of slow downstream markets according to many and while sectors such as ABS reported "healthy and stable" sales, the overall performance of the industry was said to be disappointing, according to market players. On the SBR side, European producers were being limited by a sluggish tire sector and falling Asian price levels.
