Asian high density polyethylene prices were firmer this week on the back of higher domestic prices and futures in China. HDPE-film was assessed at $1,355/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, up $20/mt week on week, at $1,360/mt CFR Southeast Asia, up $12/mt and at $1,385/mt CFR South Asia, down $5/mt over the same period. Several producers announced offers for October cargoes this week. Middle East-origin cargoes were heard offered at $1,360/mt CFR China, while a Southeast Asian producer offered at $1,450/mt CFR China.
