Linear low density polyethylene increased this week on theback of seasonal demand and supply concerns. The Far EastAsia benchmark gained $30/mt or 2.4% week on week toend at $1,300/mt CFR Wednesday. In Southeast Asia, it wasup $40/mt to $1,315/mt CFR; while in South Asia it was up$50/mt to $1,350/mt CFR. Buyers were heard seekingcargoes ahead of seasonal demand for agricultural film,which generally starts in August. However, due to the lack ofoffers in the market this week, traders kept their offers at$1,310-1,350/mt CFR China. One producer was heardmoving bonded warehouse cargoes at $1,290/mt but couldnot gain any interest above that level this week.
