Ineos Nova was seeking a minimum Eur30/mt ($42/mt) increase in March contract prices, a company source said this week. This position marked a softer approach from its prior target of Eur50/mt and follows the March styrene barge contract which settled at an average of Eur1,328/mt FOB Rotterdam, an increase of Eur29/mt above February. In general, producers said this week there were targeting an increase just above feedstock costs of Eur29/mt in order to claw back margins that were dented in February.
