The July US polypropylene contracts were expected to dipbelow the 90-cents/lb mark this week as the propylenemarket seemed to lean heavily toward a 4-cents/lb decreasefor July, sources in both markets said. A decrease of that sizein the feedstock market would leave contract polymer-gradepropylene at 78 cents/lb, which would translate into a PPhomo injection contract price in the 87-89 cents/lb range,which one distributor said was likely the market floor. “It seemslike lately we have been running in 90-day cycles,” thedistributor said. “This appears to be the bottom.”
