LLDPE price assessments were stable over last week supported by Latin producers still deciding offer prices for September and Asia offers to Latin America coming with small increases of $20/mt. "If the petroleum prices in the US and Europe go down, we might have some resin offer price reduction[s] for the export market. But if the petroleum prices are at least stable, we could have some PE offer price increases," said the source. During August Braskem was offering LLDPE to Peru at $1,550/mt CFR for butene and at $1,580/mt CFR for hexene and to Colombia at $1,610/mt CFR for butene and at $1,650/mt CFR for hexene. A buyer in Peru said the country had inventories because of the material that arrived from Asia in August.
