LLDPE exports were slow this week as producers had little to offer at prices traders were willing to pay. There was an offer at 67 cents/lb in railcars which saw scant interest. "It's better to buy from Asia," a trader said. LLDPE was offered out of China at $1,420/mt, which would land in South America's West Coast at $1,570/mt CFR, the trader added. From the US, LLDPE would have to be sold over at $1,630/mt CFR considering the 67 cents/lb offer. A trader had said he was able to sell at $1,630/mt CFR before Brazil went on holiday for Carnival but only for small quantities.
