EDC supplies werereported to be limited from Taiwan due to an unplannedshutdown of Formosa’s 1.1 million mt/year EDC plant atMailiao after an LPG pipeline fire on May 12. The plant wasrestarted late Wednesday. From the Americas, EDC suppliesare reported to be thin, especially from Brazil, as Braskem shutits chlor-alkali plant late May.
