FOB KOREA/JAPAN: Despite bearish demand from end-users inTaiwan and China, the FOB Korea/Japan propylene pricebenchmarks were stable day on day Friday at $1,441/mt and$1,451/mt, respectively. Some fresh spot demand for promptH2 June loading was reported this week on an FOB Korea basisin order to cover propylene supply shortfall from Japan. Japan’sJX Nippon Oil & Energy plans to shut its 260,000 mt/yearsteam cracker in Kawasaki, eastern Japan, from June 18 forabout five days to conduct repair works. Amid this, two spottransactions were reported on an FOB Korea basis for promptloading.
