Acrylonitrile prices in Far East Asia saw further deterioration on weak demand in China this week, but prices in the rest of Asia remained immune as they were already lower than price levels in the north. Prices across all markets in Asia had been pulled down last week by a bearish China market. This week, domestic prices in eastern China tumbled Yuan 450/mt from last Tuesday to around Yuan 18,550/mt Monday, equating to $2,394/mt on an import parity basis. The weekly assessment was brought forward due to a Tuesday public holiday in Singapore.
