Singapore—Norwegian chemical shipowner Odfjell recorded a net loss of $68 million for the first six months of the year, compared with a net profit of $3 million in the year-ago period, the company said Wednesday, adding that the chemical tanker market is now at an unsustainable level. In the first half of the year, Odfjell's EBITDA fell $16 million, or 18%, on the year to $87 million, compared with $103 million in the first half of 2009.
