Brazilian HDPE offers to Mercosur were expected to climb $50/mt in H2 September supported by firm demand and international market tendencies. Freight cost from Brazil to Uruguay and Paraguay were heard at $60-70/mt and to Argentina at $90-100/mt. For the Brazilian domestic market, Braskem offer prices for September increased Reals 150/mt. “Demand in the Brazilian domestic market is strong now, and the international prices coming to the country are more expensive each week,” said a source.
