After jumping as high as 37 cents/lb last week, spot values gave back on anticipation that Dow would restart its downed LHC 7 olefins unit at Freeport, Texas. Early week activity saw August trade lower at 36 cents/lb MtB Wms. The price moved lower Tuesday trading at 35 cents/lb MtB Wms. Spot activity thinned midweek. Spot values fell further Thursday with August trading at 34.50 cents/lb. The market was backwardated from August to September. September traded Thursday at 33.675 cents/lb MtB Wms.
