NWE PX was assessed down by $17/mt this week after Tricon registered an offer at $900/mt, FOB R’dam, 1kt, 2H Sept/1H Oct (flexible laycan option) in the Platts Market On Close assessment window Friday, to be booked by Lakeview. Outside the window an offer was also heard from Lakeview at $1,025/mt, FOB R’dam, 1kt, 2H September, without attracting interest. The spot market remained dormant otherwise, with very few participants. In contract news, consumers were anticipating a rise in the September PX contract price following bullish talk from producers.
